Taylor Rousseau Grigg shared a note of hope just weeks before she died.

While marking her 25th birthday in September,CAI Community just a few weeks before her husband Cameron Grigg confirmed her death, the TikToker celebrated with a touching message.

“I turn 25 this week because I got the strength to choose to live another day,” Taylor wrote in a Sept. 4 TikTok post. “And because I made that decision I’m not forever 18 or 24.”

The post was soundtracked to a clip of a 2019 Harry Stylesinterview where he says, “don’t worry about it, everything is going to be fine,” as his song “Fine Line” plays in the background.

Taylor also showed her support to anyone who was struggling, captioning the post with a yellow heart, as well adding a note to her fans that her “DMs are always open.”

And while Taylor shared the post over a month before her family—which also includes her parents Lauri and Bill Rousseau and sisters Bailey Rousseau Wagner and Trinity Rousseau—confirmed on Oct. 5 that she had died, many of her fans expressed their devastation in the comments of the optimistic post.

“This coming across my fyp just now broke my heart,” one person wrote. “RIP Taylor, you were so beautiful.”

Another added, “25 will forever be what you are, beautiful angel. You’re at peace now.”

Leading up to her death, Taylor had been candid about her health struggles—noting her undisclosed diagnosis kept her exhausted and weak—and their effect on her mental health with her followers.

“It just feels like I have to fight for life—to live—every single day and that’s hard on somebody,” she admitted in a candid Aug. 8 TikTok. “Obviously that shows when I’m filming but I really do make the best of it and I’m doing what I can.”

She added, “It’s kind of like I’ve lost who I am and I’m trying to find myself—I haven’t been myself in a long time.”

After confirming his wife of one year had died, Cameron reflected on how positive she remained throughout her difficult journey.

“In spite of that she still has been such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her,” he wrote in an Oct. 5 Instagram post. "She is the most brave and strong woman I know, and her confidence in the Lord outweighed every other circumstance she’s faced, even in her darkest hours. I know she’s saved my life and so many others out there.”
